Abu Dhabi-based investment firm Lunate has committed around $1bn to a newly launched investment platform with private credit manager HPS Investment Partners targeting large-cap corporates primarily in the US and Europe, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The venture is called the HPS Strategic Solutions Partners platform and will also open access to investors in the Middle East. It is aiming to take advantage of growing demand for private and structured financing. HPS currently manages roughly $165bn in assets, while Lunate manages about $110bn.

Lunate is part of a network led by Abu Dhabi royal Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It also recently announced an investment in Brevan Howard Asset Management.
