Activa Capital, a Paris-based independent private equity company investing in mid-market companies, has appointed three new partners – Pierre Chabaud, Alexandre Masson and Benjamin Moreau – and one operations partner Jean-François Briand.
Created in 2002, Activa Capital is currently managed by four Partners: Charles Diehl, Michael Diehl, Philippe Latorre and Christophe Parier.
Chabaud (36) joined Activa Capital in 2009 and has contributed to many transactions including Françoise Saget – Linvosges, Sport 2000, Albarelle, Abrisud, La Maison Bleue and Gaz Européen. Prior to joining Activa Capital, he worked for 5 years in Management Consulting at Bain & Company and Arthur D Little. He is a graduate of HEC (Master in Strategy) and Centrale Paris (MA in Engineering).
Masson (37) joined Activa Capital in 2012 as Operating Director and has worked on a number of investments including Sport 2000, Findis and Alliance Etiquettes. Prior to joining Activa Capital, Masson worked for 6 years as a Director at Alvarez & Marsal where he conducted operational and financial improvement assignments on behalf of private equity firms or family-owned companies. Previously, Alexandre worked for four years at KPMG. Alexandre is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Reims and holds a Master in Business Law from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
Moreau (38) joined Activa Capital in 2006 and has worked on a number of investments including Malherbe, Materne – Mont Blanc, ProNatura, Ergalis, Abrisud, Nexeya and Mecadaq. Prior to joining Activa Capital, Moreau worked in Transaction Services at PwC for four years, after one year at BNP Private Equity. He is a graduate of ESCP-EAP (Master in Finance) and holds an Engineering degree from CPE Lyon.
Jean-François Briand (39) joined Activa Capital in 2011 as Operating Director, having worked for seven years at Brake France, where he was successively Director of Strategy, Managing Director for the West Region and Operations Director for the last four years. Previously, he worked for six years with the Boston Consulting Group in Paris as a Project Leader. He is a graduate of ESSEC.
