AEP selects Aztec to administer Accent Equity 2017 fund

AEP 2017 Ltd has selected Aztec to administer the Accent Equity 2017; a Nordic focused private equity fund advised by Accent Equity Partners AB (Accent).

Established in 1994, Accent has advised funds of over EUR1 billion in committed capital and these funds have acquired more than 80 Nordic mid-market companies since its inception, realising over 60 of those investments. Accent Equity 2017 L.P. represents its eighth fund, with its second and final close raising over EUR315 million (SEK3 billion) in capital.

Aztec will support AEP 2017 with fund establishment activities and provide ongoing administration, financial reporting and company secretarial services in respect of Accent Equity 2017 LP. The firm currently administers over EUR22 billion for over 20 Nordic-based private equity and venture capital firms.

Simon King, Director at the Aztec Group, says: “We’re delighted to have been selected to administer Accent Equity 2017 L.P. The Group has been working with some of the leading names in the Nordic private equity market for over 15 years, particularly in the mid-market space, so it’s great to see our specialist expertise in this area continue to be recognised.”

Daniel Thonestad, CFO of Accent Equity Partners, says: “Aztec Group’s exceptional credentials in fund services, together with their background in the mid-market sector and Nordic region were among the main reasons why we chose to work with the Group. There’s certainly some exciting opportunities on the horizon for this fund and the Aztec Group will play an important role in ensuring we have a robust back office and operational platform to support our investment strategy.”
