Affinity Equity Partners is considering a sale of its stake in airport hospitality group Plaza Premium, according to a report by Bloomberg citing people familiar with the matter.
The Asia-focussed private equity firm is reportedly working with an adviser and sounding out interest from potential buyers, including other financial sponsors. Hong Kong-based Plaza Premium could be valued at around $1bn in a transaction, although discussions remain at an early stage and may not result in a deal.
Affinity acquired a minority stake in Plaza Premium in 2021 through a $200m investment.
Founded in 1998, Plaza Premium has grown into a global airport hospitality operator, with operations spanning around 600 international and domestic airports across approximately 150 countries. Its offerings include airport lounges, Aerotel transit hotels, meet-and-assist services and food and beverage concepts.
