Alpha Group publishes private markets guide

Alpha Group International has released a new guide aimed at helping private capital fund managers and service providers manage the process of setting up and maintaining banking accounts and making cross-border payments.

Amid growing regulatory scrutiny and a fragmented account onboarding landscape, the firm highlights the operational risk and delays fund managers face when navigating account openings – particularly during deal execution. The guide outlines key pain points, including inconsistent onboarding processes, rising KYC/AML requirements, and the potential for account closures due to inactivity or perceived compliance risks.

The guide offers practical insights across several areas, including: selecting account types and providers; managing accounts across jurisdictions; avoiding common onboarding pitfalls; and strategic planning for account setup and payments.

Alpha Group, which provides multi-jurisdictional account solutions for the alternative investment space, says its platform is tailored to the needs of private market participants. The FTSE 250-listed firm supports around 2,000 investment managers globally.
