Apposite Capital’s Swanton Care acquires Courtyard Care

Private equity firm Apposite Capital’s portfolio company Swanton Care and Community Ltd, a national provider of specialist residential care and supported living services for adults, has acquired Courtyard Care Ltd.

Courtyard Care operates a group of leading children’s specialist residential homes with an excellent reputation providing services for children with complex medical and mental healthcare needs.
Located in the North West of England and with a combined registration for up to 20, the settings provide specialist care for children and young adults up to 18 years old.
Established in 2003, the group has grown as a result of the quality of care provided -achieving Outstanding and Good ratings with Ofsted – with a management team of dedicated, experienced and well qualified care professionals.
Anne-Laure Meynier, Investment Director, Apposite Capital said: “As a well-established business in the North West, Courtyard Care will be well placed to further develop in that region and also to work within the Swanton Group to develop new locations for specialist children’s services. Swanton and Apposite are focused on developing linked care pathways meeting the needs of both the people we support and social care commissioners. Courtyard Care fits very well with this strategy by extending services beyond the current adult LD and MH services in both residential and supported living. We are looking forward to working with Swanton Care and founder Colin Gallimore to continue to support, develop and grow the business in both current and new locations.”
