Private investment firm Arctos Partners has acquired British Columbia Investment Management Corporation’s majority stake in Europe-focused private credit firm Hayfin Capital Management.
Upon completion of the transaction, which is expected to close in Q4 2024 and values the business at €1.3bn, BCI will remain a limited partner in several of Hayfin’s fund strategies.
BCI first acquired a majority stake of Hayfin in 2017. Over the course of seven years, BCI oversaw Hayfin’s AUM grow from €8bn to over €31bn. Hayfin now offers direct lending, special situations, tactical solutions, high-yield/syndicated loans, healthcare opportunities, maritime yield and private equity solutions.
Outside of Hayfin, BCI’s private equity programme has previously made direct investments in BMS Group, ZEDRA, Refresco, Compre Group and Waterlogic.
