Pan-European private equity firm Astorg has appointed Jérôme Triebel as Partner, Head of France and Benelux for its Mid-Cap Fund. Based in Paris, Triebel’s appointment marks a further step in the expansion of Astorg Mid-Cap’s senior leadership team.
The appointment builds on Astorg Mid-Cap’s existing footprint in London and Frankfurt, strengthening coverage across the key geographies of France and Benelux, where the fund has been active with investments including Armor IIMAK, Sofico and Avania.
Under Triebel’s leadership, two members of the Astorg Mid-Cap team – Valentin Dolla, Managing Director and Augustin Bolze, Investment Manager – will relocate from London to Paris. The team, which will be further expanded, will work alongside the Flagship team, to further enhance collaboration between the two funds and reinforce their shared goal to back highly specialised, international B2B leaders across Astorg’s core sectors.
Since its formation in 2020, the Mid-Cap team has been continuously expanded and strengthened to now include 20 investment professionals. It operates with a comprehensive, transversal coverage model, combining local market presence with deep sector expertise across Healthcare, Technology & Software and Business Services, seamlessly integrated with the Flagship’s sector teams.
Triebel who will join Astorg on 7 July 2025, has over 15 years of experience, including 10 years at Sagard, where he focused on mid-market investments across Business Services, Healthcare, Food & Consumer, and Industrials in Europe. He began his career at McKinsey & Company and Deutsche Bank.
Astorg’s inaugural Mid-Cap fund held its final close in 2022, reaching its hard-cap of €1.3bn, and is currently almost 60% deployed across six companies headquartered in six different European countries.
