Atwater Capital (Atwater), a private equity firm that focuses exclusively on the media and entertainment sectors, has appointed Meri Khananashvili, formerly an executive at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the entertainment agency giant, as Principal. Khananashvili, who brings deep industry expertise and an extensive network to the firm’s leadership, will play a key role in the execution of Atwater’s investment strategy. She will be based at the firm’s Los Angeles headquarters.
Prior to joining, Khananashvili was a Business Affairs Executive in the Media Finance Group at CAA, one of Atwater’s key industry partners. Khananashvili’s experience includes consulting on deal structuring, film financing and distribution. She holds a JD from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
