Global investment firm Carlyle has held the final close of its inaugural collateralised loan obligation (CLO) captive equity fund, CLO Partners, which raised more than $600m, exceeding its initial $500m target.
CLO Partners invests primarily in the equity of Carlyle-managed CLOs in the US and Europe. Carlyle is one of the world’s largest CLO managers with $51bn in AUM.
Carlyle has a 24-year track record of managing CLOs through multiple credit cycles and has issued a total of 98 CLOs across the US and Europe since inception.
As of 30 September 2023, Carlyle currently has $150bn in AUM across a broad range of strategies including liquid credit, private credit, and real assets credit.
