Cibus advises on investments across the entire agricultural supply chain through two strategies, private equity mid-market growth/buyout investments and late-stage venture ag-tech and food tech investments.

In this new role for the firm, Weldon will focus on the integration of natural capital across Cibus’ existing strategies as well as the launch of future strategies dedicated to natural capital. Kristen has also become a member of the Firm’s Investment Advisory Committee.

Prior to Blackrock, Weldon was on the Executive Group of Louis Dreyfus Company, where she launched the Company’s venture and growth equity investment activities in ag-tech and food technology. She also held the title of Head of Food Innovation and Downstream Strategy, with a focus on alternative proteins, aquaculture and specialty commodities.

Prior to this, Weldon spent 13 years at Blackstone, where she was a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Hedge Fund Solutions, London, and led the global commodity strategy. Kristen previously worked at JP Morgan in New York and London.
