Valor Equity Partners, an operational growth-focused private equity investment firm with $17.5bn in assets under management, has held the final closing of its flagship fund, Valor Equity Partners VI at $2.35bn, surpassing its original $2bn target.

US-based pension fund the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board has made new commitments totalling $66m to three private equity funds, according to a report by Private Equity International.

Stonepeak, an alternative investment firm specialising in infrastructure and real assets, has held the final close of its Stonepeak Opportunities Fund at its revised hard cap of $3.15bn, after strong investor demand exceeded the original $2.5bn target.

Dallas-based private oil and gas company Silver Hill Energy Partners has closed its second private equity fund, Silver Hill Energy Partners IV, with total capital commitments of $1.13bn.

Amulet Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm investing in the healthcare sector, has closed Amulet Capital Fund III with approximately $1.2bn in total capital commitments.
