Pan-European private equity firm Astorg has held the final close of its latest flagship fund, Astorg VIII – an Article 8 buyout fund – with total capital commitments of €4.4bn, making it the firm’s largest fund raised to date.

Venture capital investment firm TrueBridge Capital Partners has raised $1.6bn in capital commitments across five investment vehicles focusing on investments in other venture capital funds and technology companies.

Global alternative asset management firm TPG has closed its eighth Asia-focused private equity fund, TPG Asia VIII, and TPG AG Asia Realty Fund V and the TPG AG Japan Realty Value Funds, with combined commitments in excess of $8bn.

Private markets investment major CVC Capital Partners has activated three new funds — Americas Fund IX, Asia VI, and Strategic Opportunities III — due to “increasing deployment activity”.

HighVista Strategies, an alternative asset manager focused on investments in public and private markets, has held the final close of HighVista Private Equity X, with $675m of capital commitments.
