Vertex Ventures HC has launched its third and largest fund, the $200 million Fund III, which will be deployed to support life sciences and medical technology companies “aiming to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes”.

NEA Partners has completed the first closing of its third fund, NEA III, with SEK730 million (£53.28m) in capital commitments from around 100 Swedish entrepreneurs and investors, as well as institutional capital from actor investor Nordea.
Wellington Management has held the final close of its fourth private late-stage growth strategy, Wellington Hadley Harbor IV, with $2.6 billion in capital commitments and over $200 million in co-investment capacity to invest alongside the fund.
