Bregal Investments (Bregal), a €17bn international private equity platform for direct investment and fund-of-funds teams, has named Delaney Brown as its new Head of Capital Solutions, a newly created position, based in the firm’s London office

Addleshaw Goddard adds partner to private funds team

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Ben Cocoracchio as partner in its private funds team in London. He joins from Osborne Clarke where he focussed  on venture capital, private equity, debt and real estate. 

Hawksford expands global M&A team

Global corporate, private client, and fund services provider Hawksford has expanded its mergers and acquisitions team with three new appointments in the firm’s offices in London, Singapore and Mauritius.

Macfarlanes makes private funds partner appointment

Macfarlanes has appointed Peter Chapman as a partner in the firm’s investment management group. Chapman, who joins from Sidley Austin, advises private fund sponsors across a range of asset classes including private credit, private equity, growth capital, venture capital and hedge funds.

Global Loan Agency Services (GLAS), a provider of loan administration, agency, and trustee services globally and a portfolio company of private equity firm Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), is to acquire Pristine SAS, a Paris-headquartered asset and trust management firm. 

Baker McKenzie adds Partner to PE team

Global law firm Baker McKenzie has added to its private equity practice with the appointment of Hannah Luqmani as a partner. Luqmani, who joins from Fried Frank, and took up her new position on 4 September, will be based in the firm’s London office.

Cube closes Infrastructure Fund III at €1.35bn

Cube Infrastructure Managers (Cube) has held the final close of the Cube Infrastructure Fund III (Cube III) with total fund commitments of €1.35bn and additional co-investment commitments of approximately €150 million, making it the firm’s largest ever investment vehicle.

Permira to pay £703m for UK pharma services firm Ergomed

European private equity firm Permira has agreed a deal to acquire British biopharmaceutical services company Ergomed, a provider of clinical research and trial management services, for around £703.1m ($886.40m), according to a report by Reuters.
