Avedon creates major Netherlands MSP

Avedon Capital Partners has made simultaneous acquisitions of ICT service providers Detron and Zetacom and will combine the businesses to create one of the Netherlands’ largest independent managed services providers, with over 600 employees.

Hicks to exit drilling firm through SPAC deal

Drilling Tools International, an oilfield services firm which builds and rents out drilling equipment for oil and gas companies, is to list in New York after agreeing to merge with special purpose acquisition company ROC Energy Acquisition Corp, according to a report by Reuters.

Inflexion to buy green consultant

Inflexion is to acquire a majority stake in dss+, a provider of sustainability-focussed operations management consulting services, from Gyrus Capital, via its Buyout Fund VI, which closed with £2.5 billion in capital commitments in March 2022.

ARX sells Czech engineering firm

ARX Equity Partners, a Central Europe-focused private equity firm, has completed the sale of TES Vsetin, a Czech electro-mechanical engineering company, to a private equity consortium of Genesis Capital and Avallon. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

DE Shaw closes first dedicated PE fund

Quant trading specialist DE Shaw & Co has closed its first dedicated private equity fund with more than $450 million in capital commitments, falling just sort of the fund’s $500 million target, which was set a year ago, according to a report by Bloomberg.
