CoVenture adds MD to team

CoVenture Management (CoVenture), an alternative asset management firm focused on direct credit opportunities and credit-oriented investments in early and late-stage companies, has appointed Lei Tie as a Managing Director.

Capstreet makes Principal promotion

Capstreet, a Houston-based lower middle market private equity firm, has promoted Chas Richard from Vice President to Principal. Richard, who joined Capstreet in 2018, serves on the boards of Allredi, The Colt Group, and TradePending.

Apollo has appointed David Moffatt, who has who has served as a senior advisor to the firm since January 2019 and has more than 30 years of leadership experience, as Chair of its operations in Australia and New Zealand. 

Ogier adds partner in banking and finance team

Tommy Tuohy has been promoted to partner in Ogier’s banking and finance team in the Cayman Islands. A graduate of the firm’s partner development programme, Touhy has particular experience acting for private equity firms in corporate debt and leveraged finance transactions.

Apollo paid outgoing legal chief almost $8.4m in 2022

John Sudyam, long-serving Chief Legal Officer at Apollo Global Management received about $8.4m in total compensation during the 2022 financial year, according to a report by Bloomberg, citing a proxy statement filed by the the private equity firm on Friday.

Troutman Pepper adds to PE group

Private equity debt financing partners Jonathan Homer and Bruce Stainers have joined Troutman Pepper’s Corporate Practice Group in New York and San Francisco, respectively. Homer joins from Gibson Dunn and Steinert from Perkins Coie.

KKR makes key appointment to global infrastructure team

Charlie Gailliot has joined global private investment firm KKR as Co-Head of the Global Climate strategy, rounding out a leadership team focused on climate-related investments as part of KKR’s infrastructure platform. 

Credit Suisse tech MD joins Apollo’s Atlas

Atlas Partners, the securitised credit origination business owned by Apollo, has appointed Aaron Lipeles, a former New York-based managing director and global head of enterprise analytics at Credit Suisse, as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), based in New York, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
