Crestline, an alternative asset manager based in Fort Worth, Texas, which had more than $18bn in assets under management at the end of last year and specialises in credit and opportunistic investments, is exploring strategic options, including a possible sale, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites sources familiar with the matter as confirming that the firm, which was founded in 1997, is working with an adviser to gauge interest from potential buyers.
Crestline is led by founding partner Douglas Bratton, who serves as CEO and Co-Chief Investment Officer, alongside Managing Partner and co-CIO Keith Williams. The firm has deployed over $12bn across more than 300 transactions through its credit strategies. Additionally, Crestline provides asset-backed financing for private equity funds and operates its own hedge fund.
