Inflexion Private Equity has invested in managed IT and communication services business Ridgewall Group and backed the simultaneous acquisition of QDOS SBL, a specialist provider of managed IT and communications to the hospitality industry. The investment is being made by Inflexion Enterprise Fund V, Inflexion’s dedicated lower mid‐market fund.   Ridgewall was created in 2011 and provides business critical services in IT, communication and cyber security to small and medium sized enterprises (“SMEs”). QDOS SBL is Ridgewall’s fourth acquisition in the last twelve months and enhances the company’s technical capability and international footprint as well as diversifying the client base.
NEM Ventures, the venture capital and investment arm of the NEM blockchain ecosystem, has made a strategic investment in Cyclebit, a provider of tools for retailers to accept cryptocurrencies and fiat for in-store, online and on-the-go purchases. Digital marketing agency Croud has secured a GBP30 million minority investment from mid-market private equity house LDC. Shenzen-based DB Investment Management Ltd (DBI) has joined the Crayfish.io Accelerator as the second Anchor Investor opening up further opportunities for UK and European semiconductor and IoT companies to join the programme and get ‘China-ready’. An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, a private investment firm specialising in leveraged buyouts and investments in market-leading companies, is to sell SOS Security (SOS), a provider of outsourced security services and solutions. Terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed. London-based specialist investment firm Quilam Capital has launched a new strategic partnership with the US investment firm Wafra Capital Partners (WCP). Sports-betting and data technology start-up Mercurius is delighted to announce it has achieved its target of raising EUR500,000 in second fundraising round. The Milan-based company has now raised a total of EUR800,000 from two funding rounds and will use the money raised to enhance and develop its sports-trading product and further expand the team. Gen Cap America has partnered with management to acquire Griffin Gear (Griffin), a South Carolina-based manufacturer of replacement gearing and gearbox rebuilds for a wide variety of industrial applications. Linklaters has advised the global co-ordinators, mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners, including JP Morgan, Credit Suisse and BNP Paribas, on a revolving credit facility (RCF), senior secured notes and term loan B for the global French food retailer, the Casino Group. The group announced this month the syndication of a EUR1 billion term loan B and placement of a EUR800 million senior secured notes, both maturing in January 2024.
