Arlington Capital Partners (Arlington Capital), a Washington, DC-based private equity firm, has acquired Doncasters Group’s Blaenavon forging business (Blaenavon).
Going forward, the business will operate independently as part of Forged Solutions Group (FSG). Located in South Wales, United Kingdom, the Company is a leading provider of complex, precision forged rings and closed die products primarily for OEM and Tier 1 aerospace & defence engine customers.

HKW, a middle-market private equity firm focused on growth-oriented companies, has acquired John M Floyd & Associates (JMFA), a provider of software and consulting solutions designed to optimise overdraft programs for regional/community banks and credit unions.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, JMFA serves more than 350 regional/community bank and credit union customers with its core overdraft privilege program, and also provides vendor contract negotiation services. The Company uses proprietary software and ongoing consulting to confirm compliance and identify areas of improvement with client overdraft programs. JMFA aligns with HKW’s Business Services
European retail sector investor, Alteri Investors (Alteri) is to acquire Blue Group Hold Co (the Group), the owner of Bensons for Beds, Harveys Furniture and upholstery and bedding manufacturers Reylon, Steinhoff UK Beds and Formation Furniture, from Steinhoff International Holdings NV (Steinhoff). Harveys and Bensons for Beds, which have been owned by Steinhoff since 2005, trade from 269 stores. The Group, which also has four manufacturing sites, as well as five distribution centres in the UK, employs more than 2,700 people and has an annual turnover of over GBP500 million.
Alteri’s backing will enable management to drive continued improvement in the
Mid-market private equity firm, Equistone Partners Europe (Equistone) is to acquire Brussels-based, Amadys, a provider of passive network equipment solutions to utility segments in Belgium and its surrounding countries, from the existing management team and Vectis Private Equity.
The management team, led by CEO Hein Wilderjans, will continue to run the company following the acquisition and retain a sizeable minority share in the business. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to complete in early 2020, have not been disclosed and the acquisition remains subject to clearance from the relevant competition authorities.

Shopblocks has raised funding from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s GM Investment Fund, its existing investor Dow Schofield Watts Angels (DSW Angels), and members of the management team to support its expansion in the UK and overseas.

FFL Partners (FFL), a private equity firm focused on growth investments in middle market companies, has made an investment in the newly formed Orthodontic Partners (OP), an orthodontic services organisation.
FFL will be partnering with co-founders Dr Jamie Reynolds, Dr Jeff Kozlowski and CEO Chip Hurlburt, who also have significant equity in the business. Additional financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, OP provides orthodontic care, including traditional braces and aligners, to children, teens and adults. The Company currently has offices in Michigan and Connecticut.
