Private equity firm New Water Capital (NWC) has made a significant investment in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector, with the recapitalisation of DataED and Bestronics – two Tier III manufacturers focusing on high-mix, low/medium-volume printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and box builds.
Founded in 1980, Salem, New Hampshire-based DataED’s manufacturing capacity includes 75,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities in Salem, including a New Product Introduction facility, as well as two manufacturing plants totaling 85,000 square feet located in Shenzhen, China.

Puma Private Equity (Puma), the private equity division of Puma Investments, has completed a GBP2.75 million investment in MyKindaFuture (MKF).
The capital injection will enable MKF to expand its mission to help employers access a broader and more diverse talent pool, improve retention rates and tackle skills shortages.

LawnStarter, an on-demand platform for outdoor services, has secured a USD10.5 million growth investment from growth investor Edison Partners.
The new funding will enable LawnStarter to continue its growth in lawn care across the US and add new outdoor service lines including landscaping, fertilisation, pest control, and tree care.

BGF has invested a further GBP11 million into Molson Group, a UK-based independent distributor of capital equipment to the construction and waste management sectors.
The investment will be used to develop Molson’s existing sites and brands, as well as expand its international and waste management offerings.

CapitalRise, a property investment platform, has secured GBP1 million in backing from Revolt Ventures, the venture capital arm of real estate investment manager, Meyer Bergman.
This follows CapitalRise’s successful Seedrs crowdfunding raise earlier this year and brings the total funds raised to GBP3.3 million.

The Riverside Company (Riverside), a global private equity firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has sold surgical device tracking and workflow software provider, Censis Technologies (Censis).
Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Censis provides SaaS-based surgical instrument tracking and workflow solutions for sterile processing departments (SPDs) of hospitals and ambulatory surgical centres.
