Private equity firm Warburg Pincus has sold inexio, a provider of fibre-optic broadband networks in Germany, to EQT Infrastructure.  Co-shareholders Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and other minority investors are selling their stakes alongside Warburg Pincus.   Inexio was founded by David Zimmer in 2007 and has invested heavily in fibre-optic infrastructure in rural and small-town communities in Germany, predominantly in the South and South West. Today, the Company provides high-speed internet access to more than 110,000 customers and 6,000 businesses. Inexio’s unique and scalable network, consisting of more than 10,000 km of fibre-optic infrastructure, provides a strong platform for continued growth.
Harris Williams, a global investment bank specialising in M&A advisory services, is advising Stirling Square Capital Partners (Stirling Square) on the pending sale of Siblu Villages (Siblu) to Naxicap Partners. Siblu is a leading owner-occupied holiday park operator in France. Northleaf Capital Partners (Northleaf) has raised an additional USD1 billion in capital from Canadian, US, European and Asian investors across its global private markets program, reflecting continued strong investor interest in private equity, private credit and infrastructure investments. These recent commitments include capital raised for Northleaf’s mid-market infrastructure and private credit programs, as well as significant new commitments to mid-market private equity and secondaries custom mandates managed on behalf of two of Canada’s largest institutional investors. Council Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity firm based in Nashville, and Baird Capital, the direct private investment arm of Baird based in Chicago, have sold their stakes in emids to New Mountain Capital. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Both firms initially invested in emids in 2013.   emids is a global provider of technology services and solutions for healthcare payers and providers. The company’s services include consulting, custom application development, and data solutions that support EHR application deployment and management, analytics, data integration and governance, software development and testing, and business intelligence. emids is headquartered in Nashville.

SS&C Technologies Holdings, is to acquire certain Algorithmics and related assets from IBM. Algorithmics provides leading risk analytic products and services for the financial services industry worldwide. The addition of Algorithmics, which is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter, pending the completion of customary closing conditions, will extend SS&C’s risk analytics and regulatory offering.   The acquisition adds over 200 clients, 350 employees and offices in 25 countries. Client types include banks, broker dealers, asset managers, hedge and private equity funds and service providers. Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva PLC, has entered into a development agreement with Transport for London (TfL) to build a mixed-use retail and office building opposite Liverpool Street Elizabeth Line Station. Subject to planning approval, the Eric Parry designed scheme will provide 175,000 sq ft of office and retail space over ground and ten upper floors. The deal builds on Aviva Investors’ ongoing development project with Crossrail at 101 Moorgate. CAPZA, a private investment platform focusing on small and midcaps, is co-arranging, with BNP Paribas Principle Investments and AXA IM, the unitranche refinancing of La Maison Bleue. Founded in 2004, La Maison Bleue manages a network of over 280 collective nurseries in France and 60 in Europe (Switzerland, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom). Kaia Health, a digital therapeutics company, has secured USD8 million in a funding round led by Optum Ventures. Kaia Health has developed a smartphone-based approach for managing a number of chronic conditions, with a focus on musculoskeletal disorders (MSK) such as chronic back pain. Optum Ventures’ investment will aid Kaia Health in addressing issues their users face including the rising costs of treating MSK-related conditions and the difficulty that patients have accessing necessary treatment.   “The investment from Optum Ventures will allow us to explore integration opportunities throughout the complete patient treatment journey,” says Konstantin Mehl, Founder and CEO of
Light Wave Dental Management (Light Wave), a portfolio company of middle market private equity firm Alpine Investors (Alpine), has partnered with dental group CarolinasDentist. CarolinasDentist currently has seven locations based in Fayetteville, NC. Following this partnership, Light Wave has grown from eight to 30 affiliate locations in Virginia and North Carolina over the past two years.   The terms of the private transaction between Light Wave and CarolinasDentist have not been disclosed.   Daniel Cohen, Vice President at Alpine Investors, says: “CarolinasDentist’s high-quality dental practice and patient-first approach makes them a highly complementary fit with Light Wave and Alpine Investors.
