Eurazeo Capital has entered into exclusive discussions with funds managed by Montagu Private Equity to acquire DORC (Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center).   Eurazeo Capital will invest close to EUR300 million in this transaction. DORC will be the fifth investment of Eurazeo Capital IV. Private investor Rcapital completed a franchisee-led buyout of Cash Generator on 1 March 2019. Cash Generator is a well-established retail business, focussed on being the first place to which customers come to sell and buy second-hand items.   The franchisee buyout follows a successful and complex restructure of what was a distressed business when it was owned by its former US parent, CNG Inc. The business was acquired by Rcapital in September 2017 after its owners had designated its wider UK operations as non-core.   Rcapital and the Cash Generator management team immediately returned the business to a Franchise-only model by

London-based VC fund Fuel Ventures has expanded its portfolio of early-stage companies, investing GBP2 million in CreditDigital which provides instant finance of up to GBP250,000 to businesses online or at point of sale. Ardenton Capital Corporation has acquired a majority equity position in Manchester-based Budget Trading Ltd and its Dublin-based sister company Budget Greeting Cards Limited (collectively BGC). It operates eight cash and carry warehouses in the UK and Ireland, employing 180 staff.
