Veeqo, a retail automation platform that helps retailers sync their inventory across multiple sales channels and fulfil customer orders, has raised a GBP3.3m growth investment from the Development Capital team at Octopus Investments.
Octopus joins existing investors, Daniel McPherson and New Look founder Tom Singh, along with equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs, in supporting the company through this next stage of rapid growth.

Global investment bank GCA Altium has advised Livingbridge portfolio company, Carousel Logistics Limited, on its refinancing and acquisition of time-critical logistics company BDA Logistics Innovation (BDA).

Thinknum, a leading provider of web-sourced alternative data, has secured USD11.6 million in Series A funding round. Participants included Green Visor Capital, one of the original investors in the firm’s USD1 million seed round in 2014.

Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has invested GBP150,000 in cloud-based project management system, Collabor8Online (Collabor8) on behalf of NPIF – Maven Equity Finance (NPIF), part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
The funding will support the expansion of the senior management, including the appointment of a Chief Technology Officer, strengthen the sales team and invest in extensive product development. Investment funds managed by TDR Capital, a UK based private equity investor, are to acquire 100 percent of NKD Group. TDR Capital and NKD’s current shareholder, OpCapita, have signed a sale & transfer agreement to that effect. The transaction is subject to the customary antitrust approval.
