Cavendish Corporate Finance has advised the shareholders of Express Vending Group Limited (Express Vending), a UK supplier of premium refreshment solutions, on its sale to Selecta Group (Selecta). Express Vending is a privately-owned, fast-growing UK supplier of premium vending services. The business generated sales of more than GBP39.0 million in the twelve months ending July 2018. Founded in 1992, Express Vending is focused on London and the neighbouring counties. VividGro, a portfolio company of private equity firm Pegasus Capital Advisors (Pegasus), has secured investment firm Merida Capital Partners (Merida) as its strategic partner. VividGro, a spinout from Pegasus-funded Lighting Science Group Corporation (LSG), offers products based on LSG’s origins in developing lighting for NASA and the International Space Station and currently focuses on distributing controlled environment agriculture (CEA) LED lighting solutions and services to the indoor horticultural and cannabis industries.   The Company will initially be funded by investments from LSG and Merida Capital. Atheon Analytics, a provider of visual analytics products and services to UK’s leading grocery retailers and suppliers, has secured a seven-figure investment from international private equity investor, EmergeVest, in exchange for a minority shareholding. Atheon will use the additional capital to accelerate its rapid growth plans, applying leading edge technology to its SaaS portfolio for the UK grocery supply chain. City law firm Wedlake Bell has advised Global Risk Partners (GRP) on its third acquisition in the past month. GRP’s Northern Irish retail broking hub, Abbey Bond Lovis (ABL), has acquired a majority share in Digney Grant Ltd, a Northern Irish insurance broking firm, for an undisclosed fee. LaLiga, Spain’s top-flight soccer competition, and Relevent, a multinational media, sports and entertainment group, have formed a 15-year, equal joint venture to promote football in the US and Canada. Deposit Solutions, a specialist in Open Banking and provider of a platform for savings deposits, has closed a new funding round led by private equity firm Vitruvian Partners.
