A surgical and high-precision engineering company that provides bespoke full jaw dental implant solutions in a day to patients has received a GBP4 million investment from BGF. London-headquartered Evo will use the funding to expand its clinics, which feature on-site dental laboratories with the latest hi-tech medical manufacturing technology across the UK, and explore international growth.   Evo’s advanced, proprietary solution provides life changing treatment for patients suffering from severe dental problems caused by advanced gum disease, congenital bone loss or accidents, and who require a full jaw reconstruction.    Designed and developed in-house by founder Dr R P Vijayanarayanan BDS (Vijay)
Mid Europa Partners (Mid Europa), a private equity investor in Central and Eastern Europe, has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in MediGroup. The seller, Blue Sea Capital, has retained a 45 per cent stake in the Company.   MediGroup is the leading private healthcare provider in Serbia with 13 facilities across key cities, providing inpatient, outpatient, lab, IVF, ophthalmology and cosmetology services. Mid Europa and Blue Sea Capital will support MediGroup during the next phase of organic and acquisitive growth, further consolidating the burgeoning private healthcare market in Serbia and strengthening the Company’s market leading position.
Data aggregation specialists Collision Management Systems (CMS) has received a GBP1.25 million investment from BGF, following the launch of its telematics data aggregation, risk management and crash detection software for Telematics and Insurance businesses. OakNorth has completed a deal with private equity firm Baird Capital to part finance the acquisition of Collingwood Lighting, a leading designer and supplier of luminaires into the professional refurbishment and new-build markets in the UK and France. With roots dating back to 1902, Collingwood Lighting was a fourth-generation family-owned business that has built itself up to a market-leading position. Its clients include residences, hotels, universities, shops and elderly care homes. Great Rock Capital, an asset-focused commercial finance company specialising in middle market lending, has closed a USD12 million senior secured credit facility to toy manufacturer and seller Imperial Toy. Wild Bunch SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of European film distribution and sales company Wild Bunch AG, has agreed a refinancing deal with SWB Finance, part of the Sapinda Group. As part of this plan SWB Finance will assume the company’s existing financial liabilities for a total amount of EUR62.7 million, out of which EUR36.6 million will be contributed into the equity of Wild Bunch AG.   In addition, the creditors of the 8 per cent corporate bond issued in 2016 with a total nominal amount of EUR18 million are to resolve the conversion of all bonds into new shares

Alternative investment group Tages is to acquire a stake in VAM Investments, a private equity investment holding company specialising in growth capital and buyouts. This strategic partnership marks Tages’ entry into the private equity sector as it continues to grow its business lines across alternative asset classes.   Under the agreement, Tages will acquire an initial 34 per cent of VAM Investments, while Francesco Trapani (pictured), a shareholder of Tages since the beginning of 2017, Deputy Chairman and member of the Board of Directors, will take a stake of 15 per cent via a direct investment.   Trapani will also
SME funding partner, Ultimate Finance, has reached a new lending milestone, with almost GBP200 million available to small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. The figures from the first half of 2018 show a 42.3 per cent increase in cash to customers for the alternative finance specialist, which has recorded growth of 150 per cent since it was acquired by independent investment firm Tavistock Group, in July 2015.   Ultimate Finance has seen particularly strong developments across a number of its specialist products with Bridging Finance increasing by 260 per cent, and now sitting at almost GBP30 million of funds
