Cathay Capital and Bpifrance are to acquire a majority stake in global financial software company NeoXam from BlackFin Capital Partners.
The deal comes off the back of a sustained period of growth for NeoXam, a provider of data management and transaction solutions to financial institutions. Over the past two years, the French based firm’s (EUR62.5 million) revenue has increased by +25 per cent and it has signed more than 32 deals and hired over 150 employees.

International law firm, Addleshaw Goddard has successfully advised on the sale of ICS Learn in a management buyout backed by private equity firm Primary Capital Partners.
The MBO was led by existing ICS Learn CEO, Colin Kennedy and Finance Director, Alison Doyle.

The Aberdeen Standard Investments infrastructure team has made a second investment in a gas pipeline and processing system, acquiring InfraVia Capital Partners Managed Fund’s 20 per cent interest in Noordgastransport (NGT), the owner of a pipeline and processing plant transporting and treating natural gas that is principally produced from the Dutch Continental Shelf.
The entire NGT system, which is operated by Neptune Energy, incorporates a 178km 36” pipeline constructed in 1975, a 140km 36” pipeline constructed in 1999 and a processing plant located onshore at Uithuizen. The system connects approximately 75 platforms of different operators to the processing facility.
Middle market private equity firm One Equity Partners (OEP) has acquired Gibson Omni Parent, the company that conducts publicly traded midstream energy company Gibson Energy’s US Environmental Services business.
The business will now be known as OMNI Environmental Solutions (OMNI).
Headquartered in Carencro, Louisiana, OMNI is a provider of environmental services focused on energy customers. Key services include water logistics and disposal, solid waste processing, treatment and landfilling, and a variety of other specialty environmental services such as offshore inspection and cleaning.

Private equity firm IK Investment Partners’ (IK) IK VIII Fund has entered into exclusive negotiations with Equistone Partners Europe (Equistone), Céréa Partenaire, Azulis Capital and the existing management team to acquire a majority stake in Mademoiselle Desserts.
The management team will reinvest alongside the Fund.
Established in 1984, Mademoiselle Desserts has grown to become the leading manufacturer of premium frozen industrial finished and semi-finished pastry in Europe. Through its manufacturing sites in France, the UK and the Netherlands and highly experienced teams, the Group works closely with its customers to develop bespoke desserts to the highest food standards.
Clearwater International UK has advised Synova Capital and members of the management team of Mandata, the provider of transport management software, on the GBP20 million sale of the business to private equity firm LDC.
Mandata designs and develops software that allows road transport operators to manage workflow and data more effectively. Its transport management system integrates a suite of end-to-end products, including traffic planning and management, tracking, telematics, and invoicing. Used by hauliers across the UK, Mandata helps customers to improve productivity, deliver efficiency savings, and improve real-time visibility of their operations.

An affiliate of middle market private equity firm Gemspring Capital has acquired a controlling interest in, and provided additional growth capital to A10 Capital, a provider of middle-market commercial real estate loans.
The investment has been made alongside Schroders, a global asset manager. Existing A10 shareholders, including HIG Capital, and management, will be retaining significant minority equity interests in the Company.
Concurrent with the investment, Schroders and A10 have entered into an agreement through which Schroders will benefit from A10’s extensive origination network and servicing platform to access middle-market CRE loan opportunities for its clients. The agreement also provides
C5 Capital, an investment firm focused on cyber security, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, has made a USD35 million investment in IronNet Cybersecurity.
IronNet, which was founded by US General (Ret) Keith Alexander (CEO) raised USD78 million in total with Silicon Valley venture capital firms ForgePoint Capital (formerly known as Trident Capital Cybersecurity), and Kleiner Perkins also participating in the round.
The new funds will be used to support IronNet’s strategic growth and to continue accelerating the development and adoption of its industry-leading cybersecurity solutions.

Italian private equity firm Clessidra SGR is to acquire the entire share capital of Scrigno Group.
Based in Rimini, Scrigno is a manufacturer and distributor of counter-frames for pocket doors and windows worldwide. The company also manufactures and distributes armoured doors following the recent acquisition of Master, a company based in Piacenza.
Scrigno operates in over 20 countries in the world through commercial subsidiaries, besides Italy, in France, Spain and the Czech Republic. In 2017, it recorded revenues of approximately EUR68 million, half of which were realised abroad.
