Lower-middle-market private equity firm Huron Capital’s aftermarket car accessories and restoration parts platform Drake Automotive Group has acquired Boulder, Colorado-based Proforged, a designer and distributor of chassis parts.
The deal marks the fourth add-on acquisition for the Drake platform investment in less than two and a half years. Since 2016, Drake has also acquired Fender Gripper, Carroll Shelby Wheel Company and OG Innovations.
Proforged has a strong presence in the wear-and-tear replacement market with more than 2,000 steering and suspension products across all major vehicle platforms and brands sold online to auto parts retailers. Proforged was founded by Zack Kanter

International private equity firm, Cinven, is to acquire JLA, a leading critical asset supply and services business for laundry, catering and heating in the UK, for an undisclosed consideration.
Headquartered in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, JLA provides commercial laundry, catering and heating solutions to more than 25,000 small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers. JLA offers a unique ‘Total Care’ proposition, which combines equipment supply with guaranteed service response times for a contracted monthly fee, providing peace of mind and value for money to a range of customers including care homes, hotels, education providers and housing associations.

Odysseus Investments, the private equity arm of Reech Corporations Group, recently announced a significant investment in Whitebox Services AG, an independent financial advisory firm using advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to offer tailor-made investment services to retail clients.
The investment makes Odysseus the largest external investor in the company. Christophe Reech (pictured), Chairman of Reech Corporations Group, explains that he established Reech after a lengthy career as a serial entrepreneur as a financier, principally working in supporting and developing established businesses as well as identifying new business opportunities.

Silverfleet Capital, a Pan-European private equity firm that specialises in buy-to-build, is to acquire a majority stake in Prefere Resins Holding.
Headquartered in Erkner, situated on the outskirts of Berlin, Germany, the Company is a European market leader in the development, production and sale of phenolic and amino resins which are used as a binding agent across the construction, insulation and industrial sectors. Completion is subject to regulatory approval and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Indian craft beer brand Bira 91 has closed its third round of funding at USD50 million, led by Belgian investment firm, Sofina.
This brings the company to over USD100 million in funding to date.
This latest round will be deployed to expand the India business five-fold over the next three years and establish a leadership position in the Indian premium beer market. It will also further accelerate Bira 91’s global footprint with expansion in the US market, as well as Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Paediatric home healthcare company Aveanna Healthcare is to acquire Premier Healthcare Services. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in mid to late June, have not been disclosed.

Gamma Technologies, a provider of engineering simulation software, has secured a strategic investment from Cove Hill Partners, a long-term oriented private equity firm.
TA Associates, a growth private equity firm that invested in Gamma Technologies in June 2015, will continue to remain the largest shareholder in the company following the transaction which is expected to close at the end of June 2018. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
