Hotels & More, a Inbound Tour Operator for group tours and individual travellers to the United Kingdom and Ireland, is pleased to announce a merger with Irish Welcome Tours, one of Ireland’s leading Inbound Tour Operators.
The agreement brings together two highly complementary businesses to create a market leading operator across both the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The deal builds on the sustained rapid growth achieved by Hotels & More since it was backed by Mayfair Equity Partners (‘Mayfair’) in a buyout in October 2015. BGF (Business Growth Fund) has invested GBP6.5 million in private-owned, Scottish catering company Entier.
The Westhill-based company in the North East of Scotland plans to expand its overseas operations, building on its existing work at 38 remote locations in 23 countries. Flybits has raised USD6.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Information Venture Partners. New investor Portag3 Ventures LP and existing investors Robert Bosch Venture Capital and Trellis Capital also participated.

Noerr has advised US private equity fund Lexington Partners on the acquisition of a large part of the media-for-equity portfolio of SevenVentures, the investment arm of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE. London partner and office head Dr Thomas Schulz led the transaction.
Up to 16 minority interests held by SevenVentures and other companies in the ProSiebenSat.1 Group will be transferred to the newly founded fund Crosslantic Capital in the course of the transaction.
Lexington will acquire a majority share in the fund, and SevenVentures will continue to be involved as a media partner holding a minority interest of 24.5 per cent.
Ocorian is to acquire MAS International (MAS), an independent fund administration and corporate services provider. The business operates in Luxembourg and Mauritius in addition to representation in the US.
Expected to close towards the end of 2017, the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, will realise the next stage of the progressive trajectory for Ocorian, following the management buyout and successive rebranding of Bedell Trust in 2016. The acquisition expands Ocorian’s international presence and service capabilities, providing further depth for their existing jurisdictions.

UK private equity house Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has led a GBP3.5 million investment in Contego Fraud Solutions (Contego), to support the continued growth of the business.
The transaction is being jointly funded by Maven and NVM Private Equity (NVM) which are investing GBP1.8 million and GBP1.5 million respectively. The remaining GBP0.2 million is being funded by existing investors.

Privacy engineering software company, Privitar, has raised USD16 million in a Series A funding round led by Partech Ventures with participation from CME Ventures and Salesforce Ventures.
Existing investors IQ Capital, 24Haymarket and Illuminate Financial have reinvested. Privitar will use the funds to accelerate the delivery of its product roadmap and core IP. The firm will also look to build on sales success in Europe with expansion to the United States and other key geographies.
