Foresight Group (Foresight) has successfully exited its investment in Blackstar Amplification Limited (Blackstar), a Northampton-based designer and manufacturer of innovative guitar amplifiers and effects pedals, following a management buyout.
The transaction generated a circa 2x return for Foresight.
Foresight originally invested GBP3.5 million in 2012 to provide growth capital and partially restructure the shareholder base in Blackstar. In addition, Foresight introduced Keith Pacey, former Executive Chairman and CEO of Maplin Electronics, to the Board as Chair.

App commerce company Poq has secured GBP3.5 million in its latest funding round, led by growth capital investor Beringea with additional funding from Meyer Bergman and Barclays. This round brings the total amount raised by Poq so far to GBP7 million.

Century Park Capital Partners has agreed to sell Cirtec Medical to 3i Group.
Cirtec specialises in outsourced solutions for OEMs of active implantable medical devices, with a focus on neuromodulation, drug delivery, cardiac rhythm management, and minimally invasive surgical devices. Cirtec has the expertise to provide value-added solutions to its customers through the entire development cycle to bring medical devices to market.
