Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Imtech UK and Ireland (Imtech), including Endless, on the sale of the business to EDF Energy Services. a joint venture between EDF Energy and Dalkia.
Imtech is a leading engineering services company and one of the largest providers of technical services to construction, industrial, commercial and public sector clients in the UK and Ireland.
Imtech employs over 2,100 people, generating revenues of over €450m per year delivering mechanical and electrical engineering services, technical operation and management of facilities, and the integration of digital control solutions.

Sun Hung Kai Financial (SHKF) announced it has closed on its acquisition of 100 per cent of UK specialist brokerage and research firm North Square Blue Oak Limited (NSBO), following strategic cooperation between the two parties that started in early 2016 and with approval from UK regulators.
Subsequently, NSBO has been renamed Sun Hung Kai Financial (UK) (SHKF (UK)). Through the acquisition, SHKF will now have the ability to conduct institutional brokerage, specialist research and corporate finance businesses in the UK.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) is to acquire HD Supply Holding’s Waterworks business unit (Waterworks), a distributor of water, sewer, storm and fire protection products, for USD2.5 billion.
Through a carve-out transaction, Waterworks will become an independent company, wholly-owned by CD&R funds.
Waterworks is a leading US distributor of industrial and construction products used to build and maintain underground water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure networks. The company operates a national network of 244 branches in 46 states with a sales team of more than 1,700 sales representatives serving a diverse customer base of more than 37,000 municipalities, private water
Dentons has advised private equity investor Rutland Partners (Rutland) on its recent pound investment in Aston Barclay, the independent car auction group which provides vehicle remarketing services to fleet and dealership vendors.
Aston Barclay, which currently operates from four sites in the UK, has invested heavily in recent years in both its auction sites and IT systems. Rutland’s investment will be used to develop a new auction site at Donington Park in the Midlands, as well as to make further investment in its IT technology and staff.

Century Bridge Capital has successfully exited and repatriated the proceeds from its investment in Ningbo, China.
The fund closed on its investment in the USD122 million, 840 unit development in March 2016 in joint venture with Hong Kong listed national developer, Jingrui Holdings. The investment represents Century Bridge’s second joint venture residential investment with Jingrui following its first investment with Jingrui in Wuxi, China, from which it exited in December of 2016.

UK private equity house Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has made a GBP2.5 million VCT qualifying investment in Horizon Cremation Limited (Horizon), which is embarking on an ambitious growth strategy in a sector experiencing increased demand for better quality service and facilities.
Development capital provided by Maven clients will support this growth.

Linklaters has advised Eni, a multinational oil and gas company, together with its Area 4 partners, CNPC, ENH, GALP and KOGAS on an ECA-backed multi-billion dollar project financing for the USD8 billion Coral South floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Mozambique.
The financing is Africa’s largest ever project financing deal to date. It is also the world’s first project financing of a floating LNG facility.

Pan-European mid-market private equity firm Agilitas’ portfolio company Reconor, one of the leading environmental services groups in Denmark, has acquired 100 per cent of Lotra A/S, an environmental services business based in Kolding, Denmark.
Financial details for the transaction are not being disclosed.
Founded in 2000 by its CEO Lars Holger Hansen, Lotra offers complete solutions for the collection, treatment and recycling of soil and construction waste. The acquisition provides Reconor with a strong presence in the Jutland region of Denmark and gives the expanded business increased coverage across Denmark.

Private equity investor Advent International has signed an agreement to acquire Danish food packaging company Færch Plast A/S (Færch Plast) from private equity fund EQT VI. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

EMW, the commercial law firm, has advised Northampton-based real estate investment and development business, Barwood Capital on the initial GBP42 million close of its 2017 UK regional property fund.
EMW explains that the fund focuses on property assets within the UK’s prime regional markets outside of London. The GBP42m raised will be invested in sites which have the potential to increase in value through careful planning, redevelopment and asset management. Approximately 70 per cent of equity in the fund will be allocated to logistics and industrial properties.
