European law firm Noerr has advised on the formation of a fashion e-commerce group GFG. Investment AB Kinnevik, Rocket Internet and a large circle of other investors have agreed to combine five fashion e-commerce businesses, namely Dafiti (Latin America), Jabong (India), Lamoda (Russia & CIS), Namshi (Middle East) and Zalora (South East Asia & Australia) to create a new global group.   The Noerr team, led by Christian Pleister, Tobias Koppmann and Sascha Leske legally advised on the transaction. Harris Williams & Co has advised Mister Car Wash, a portfolio company of private equity platform ONCAP, on its sale to private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners. Improving economic conditions in North America saw 2013 fuel the highest level of volume and values by entry enterprise value (EV) for private equity (PE) exits since 2006, according to EY’s annual North American PE exit study. The report, Returning to safer ground: How do private equity investors create value? Following its recent launch, ablrate.com has added the first aircraft deal to its peer-lending portal. The financing opportunity is for an ATR 42-500 turboprop, which is being leased by SATENA, a government backed regional airline in Colombia.   The deal is backed by a major European bank, and will pay a rate of 10 per cent interest per annum, over a period of six years.   Since its launch, ablrate.com has seen strong interest from investors, including family offices and small institutions.

International companies continue to turn to US stock exchanges to connect with American investors for their IPOs and subsequent capital raising, according to BNY Mellon's Depositary Receipts 2014 Midyear Update. The first half of 2014 saw the highest level of DR capital raisings in the last three years. As of 30 June, 41 capital markets transactions globally raised more than USD9.1 billion, well ahead of the USD3.6 billion raised through 20 transactions during the same period in 2013.   BNY Mellon served as depositary bank for 18 of this year’s deals, which have raised over USD3.1 billion.   Companies from

Swoon Editions, an online furniture business, has confirmed a GBP4 million Series A funding round to expand its business in the UK, led by Octopus Investments and Index Ventures. The investment will be used to grow Swoon Editions’ community of ‘insiders’ (interior-savvy people signed up to its email list) as well as increasing the number of designs launched each week.   The team has grown from three to 36 in the past 12 months and an additional 20 roles will be created across a range of disciplines, primarily in the London head office, and also in Vietnam, India and China.
European private equity firm Silverfleet Capital has agreed to acquire AGR Holdings, the petroleum services division of Oslo-listed AGR Group, in a NOK1,640 million (EUR195m) transaction.  Completion will be on or around end of August.    AGR is the largest independent well management group operating globally. AGR delivers well, reservoir, HSEQ, and facilities management services to the upstream oil and gas industry.
