An affiliate of Versa Capital Management has acquired the operating businesses of Hatteras/CABO from Brunswick Corporation.
Hatteras Yachts produces sportfishing and luxury motor yachts, while CABO Yachts builds sportfishing express boats from 36 to 52 feet.
The acquisition is effective immediately. Purchase terms have not been disclosed.

Arma Partners acted as exclusive financial adviser to Avelo FS Holdings Limited – majority owned by LDC – on the sale of the company to IRESS for an enterprise value of GBP210m.
Avelo is a provider of integrated technology solutions, software and consultancy to the financial services industry in the UK. The company provides software solutions to a long-standing blue chip customer base spanning 32,000 users, financial advisers and brokers, including 93 of the top 100 IFA firms in the UK. Avelo also provides large-scale software solutions for mortgage origination and distribution to some of the UK’s largest banks
REC, a provider of solar electricity solutions, has developed, constructed, financed and sold four solar power installations in Villacidro (4,986 kW), Pischedda (996.4 kW), Ulmos (901.6 kW) and Lula (990 kW) on Sardinia to KAV Global Energy, an investment arm of the Luxembourg Investment Fund IKAV SICAV FIS.
IKAV acquires European solar plants and its stakeholders are European insurances and pension funds. The investment advisor is ecoprime in Hamburg, which supported the fund in the identification, selection and sales negotiation processes.

Theo Fennell is a British designer of jewellery and silverware.

TA Associates, a growth private equity firm, has completed an investment in Flashtalking, an international advertising technology company.
Terms of the investment have not been disclosed.
Flashtalking provides a software platform for intelligent ad serving – the creation and delivery of online advertising campaigns, including robust post-delivery analytics and reporting. Customers build, execute and track campaigns via an efficient self-service platform.

Hub International, an insurance brokerage, has entered into an agreement to be acquired by funds advised by Hellman & Friedman.
The transaction values Hub at approximately USD4.4bn.
Under the terms of the agreement, investment funds managed by Hellman & Friedman will hold a majority interest in the company, while members of Hub’s senior management will continue to have a significant equity position.
With more than 6,500 employees in the US (including Puerto Rico), Canada and Brazil, Hub is expected to achieve 2013 revenue of approximately USD1.2bn, after the annualised impact of acquisitions.

Blackstone has closed on its acquisition of Strategic Partners from Credit Suisse.
Strategic Partners is a secondary private fund of funds business, with USD10bn in assets under management.
