Canadian investment firm Brookfield Asset Management is take full control of Spanish solar power developer X-ELIO by acquiring the remaining 50 per cent stake in the business it doesn’t already own from US private equity major KKR, according to a report by the Financial Times.
Cube Infrastructure Managers, an independent mid-market infrastructure investor, is to acquire a majority stake in GleSYS Holding AB, a Nordic data centre operator providing digital infrastructure solutions from VIA Equity Fond III, GleSYS CEO & funder Glenn Johansson, and other key employees and minority shareholders.

Private equity firm Permira is in competition with French beauty companies L’Oreal and Clarins over the acquisition of a stake in high-end cosmetics brand Aesop from Brazil’s Natura & Co, according to a report by Reuters.
Private equity firm EQT has entered into talks over a deal to acquire UK-based data centre operator Global Switch, which is controlled by Chinese steelmaker Jiangsu Shagang group, according to a report by Reuters, citing unnamed sources. The sales process for Global Switch first for underway in mid-2022, but according to Reuters’ sources, a discrepancy over valuation between potential acquirers and the company’s shareholders have prevented progress being made. DCP Capital, a China-based private equity firm, is looking to sell Singapore-based portfolio company MFS Technology, a manufacturer of flexible printed circuit boards, for at least $550 million, according to a report by Reuters. Unnamed Reuters sources say that marketing for the sale targeting both financial sponsors and strategic buyers began on Friday, and the firm, which was founded by former KKR & Co dealmakers David Liu and Julian Wolhardt, is planning to issue confidential information memoranda next month. MindGeek, the owner of several pornographic video-streaming platforms and studios, including Pornhub, is being acquired by Ethical Capital, a new private equity firm based in the Canadian capital of Ottawa, according to a report by The Financial Times. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. According to unnamed FT sources, MindGeek’s most recently published figures show revenues in 2018 reached $460 million while profit margins have at times neared 50 per cent, while data from internet traffic analytics firm Similarweb ranks Pornhub as the 12th most visited website in the world last year. Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners has paid $155 million to acquire a “significant minority stake” in Indonesian gas company PT Samator Indo Gas from existing company shareholders, according to a press statement. Following CVC’s investment, the Harsono family will continue to hold a majority stake in the business and retain control of the company. CVC, which has €137 billion of assets under management, has made seven previous investments in Indonesia according to its website, including Siloam International Hospitals, and retailer MAP Aktif Adiperkasa. Fintech-focused private equity firm Motive Partners is in discussions to acquire ACI Worldwide Inc, a provider of payments software and services to banks, merchants and other customers, according to a report by Bloomberg. Unnamed Bloomberg sources familiar with the matter say that Motive has been exploring funding options for a potential take private deal this week, although nothing has been finalised and discussions may yet fall through.
