Citymark Capital has closed its nineteenth investment – Hayden Martinez, formerly Haven Martinez – a 108-unit property located in the Greater San Francisco metropolitan area. The location of Hayden Martinez in the East Bay offers easy access to all the city’s major employment centers, such as Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Oakland, and the Tri-Valley.      Citymark has invested in 19 assets in Dallas, Las Vegas, Northern New Jersey, Orlando, Houston, Raleigh, Atlanta, Phoenix, Columbus, Denver, Austin, Salt Lake City, and Greater San Francisco. 
Octant, a data-driven therapeutics company developing programmable biology and chemistry to build precision medicines for complex diseases, has raised $80 million in a Series B financing round led by Catalio Capital Management (Catalio). The company has also established a Deep Mutational Scanning (DMS) biopharma partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb, and appointed biotech industry veteran Dean “Rick” Artis as its first Chief Scientific Officer and renowned scientist Feng Zhang to its Scientific Advisory Board. SoundMint, a generative platform for music NFTs, has raised a $1.7 million in a seed round led by Animoca Brands.
QuadFi, a mission-driven global fintech firm headquartered in Canada, has agreed a new financing facility of up to $100 million ith Crayhill Capital Management, a New York-based minority-owned private credit manager. The facility will be used by QuadFi to provide personal loans to people with limited credit history, but with a strong current income and a bright financial outlook, including young people and immigrants.
Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL) is to acquire a majority stake in Sanoptis, a network of ophthalmology clinics across Germany and Switzerland, from Telemos Capital (Telemos). GBL is committing up to €750 million in equity for this transaction. As part of the deal, the incumbent management team will increase its stake in the company by way of a substantial reinvestment.  This transaction marks GBL’s second consecutive private investment in the healthcare sector in 2022. 
Futr, a live chat and customer service chatbots specialist, has secured new funding from Blackfinch Ventures, a technology venture capital firm, and existing investors to continue its mission of using artificial intelligence to disrupt the delivery of customer service. The investment, worth a total of £2.1 million, sees Blackfinch Ventures, join Praetura Ventures and the British Robotics Fund in supporting Futr. Motorola Solutions has acquired Calipsa, a technology leader in cloud-native advanced video analytics based in London, UK. Calipsa’s scalable platform enables businesses to optimise security with AI-powered analytics that verify alarms, enable content-based searches, detect tampering, and assess the health of cameras in real time. The solution is relied upon by enterprise and security monitoring customers around the world.    Calipsa’s unique cloud-based technology allows customers to add AI to existing IP-based cameras without additional hardware, enabling new analytics capabilities on the millions of IP-based cameras already deployed.    Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Software investor Main Capital Partners (Main) has acquired a majority stake in VideoVisit, a provider of software services for virtual healthcare and online consultations. VideoVisit represents the first platform investment for Main in the Finnish market. VideoVisit is a market leader in Finland with over 200 municipalities as customers, including Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere and Turku. VideoVisit provides a best-in-class software platform that is designed to digitalise both healthcare and social care visits. Its virtual care platform enables a wide range of healthcare services, including primary care, home care, home rehabilitation and disability services.
