JP Morgan and Rothschild & Co were the top mergers and acquisition (M&A) financial advisers in the Middle East & Africa region for Q1-Q3 2021 by value and volume, respectively.  JP Morgan advised on ten deals worth USD21.5 billion, which was the highest value among all the advisers. Meanwhile, Rothschild & Co led in volume terms having advised on 19 deals worth USD3.8 billion. A total of 787 M&A deals were announced in the region during H1 2021, according to GlobalData, a data and analytics company. Behrman Capital, a private equity investment firm based in New York, has reached a definitive agreement to sell its portfolio company Pelican Products, Inc.(the Company), including the Peli BioThermal division, to Platinum Equity. VTS, a leasing, marketing, asset management, and tenant experience platform, is to acquire Lane, a workplace experience platform used by several top landlords including Brookfield, Oxford, and Hines.  With the acquisition, VTS has now invested hundreds of millions of dollars in tenant experience, more than all other proptech companies combined. The acquisition will strengthen VTS’ existing market-leading tenant experience solution, VTS Rise, enabling both Rise and Lane customers to benefit seamlessly from the combined technology. Funds advised by Searchlight Capital Partners (Searchlight), a global private investment firm, are to acquire a majority stake in Integrated Power Services (IPS), a specialist in industrial aftermarket services.  Searchlight acquired the Company from funds advised by Odyssey Investment Partners (Odyssey). Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.   Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, IPS provides maintenance, repair and replacement solutions for critical process equipment serving industrial and renewable energy end-markets in North America. Spark Orthodontics, aa orthodontic group practice with 10 offices in Pennsylvania, and in which Rock Mountain Capital holds a significant minority investment, today announced the acquisition of Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics of Tennessee. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Cumberland’s eight offices in the Nashville, TN area will retain the Cumberland name and will roll up under Spark Orthodontics.
