Ecosystem Investment Partners (EIP), a real asset, private equity firm, has closed its fund Ecosystem Investment Partners V (EIP V), with over $400m of capital commitments to EIP V and its related entities, bringing the total amount raised by the firm to $1.5bn.
The fund received support from limited partners across the US and Europe, including public and corporate pension funds, endowments, family offices, and other institutional investors.
EIP V will expand its investments in large-scale wetland, stream, water quality, biodiversity and habitat mitigation and restoration projects across the US EIP V has already deployed over $125m across nine portfolio investments in Florida, Kentucky, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, California, and Louisiana. These include greenfield mitigation banks and the acquisition of existing portfolios of assets that will aim to restore and conserve over 8,000 acres of wetlands and wildlife habitat and 23 miles of streams.
Ecosystem Investment Partners was established in 2006 to make targeted investments in large-scale ecological restoration and conservation projects across the US.
