Elian strengthens Luxembourg depositary team with senior appointment

A month after being granted a licence to provide professional depositary services from its Luxembourg office, Elian has appointed Kerstin Lindgren (pictured) as manager of depositary services in the firm's funds depositary team.

Lindgren’s main focus will be to develop the depositary services offering for alternative investment funds in Luxembourg.

Lindgren has 15 years’ experience in the investment fund industry, particularly in depositary, global custody and stock lending services. She has previously held roles with Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) in Stockholm and Luxembourg. Before joining Elian she was head of custody services at SEB SA, where she worked for more than 12 years.

Lindgren will be instrumental in the on going management of Elian’s AIF depositary infrastructure, ensuring the best people, systems and procedures are in place.

Paul Lawrence Elian's managing director in Luxembourg, says: ‘We have seen strong interest in our depositary offering in the lead up to our launch. Kerstin's appointment brings extensive experience and particular expertise that enables us to work effectively with managers of alternative funds to thoroughly understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.’

Elian’s depositary core services include cash flow monitoring, the safekeeping of non-custody assets and oversight of the AIF to ensure it is managed in accordance with its principal documents. Fund managers can access Elian’s depositary offering as a stand-alone service, or as a bolt on to other administration activity.
