Charlotte-based middle-market private equity firm Falfurrias Management Partners has made an investment in clinical trials solution company Jumo Health.
Jumo Health develops educational solutions that aim to improve health literacy to accelerate clinical trial enrollment and increase participant retention.
According to a press statement, the Falfurrias investment will “bring new resources and expertise to the Jumo Health team, aimed at expanding the organisation’s core capabilities, enabling data-driven solutions, and widening patient engagement”.
As part of the deal, Adam Cossman, an executive advisor on the Falfurrias team, will join Jumo’s board of directors as chairman. Alexander Jutkowitz, an executive in residence at Falfurrias with experience in global content marketing and communications, and Jackie Kent, a pharmaceutical executive, will also join the board.
Equity for this investment comes from Falfurrias Capital Partners V, an operationally focused lower middle market buyout fund.
Falfurrias was advised by Houlihan Lokey and Holland & Knight, while Jumo Health was advised by Canaccord Genuity.
