Fidelity International appoints Global Head of Private Asset Solutions

Fidelity International (Fidelity) has appointed Nick Haaijman as Global Head of Private Asset Solutions.

In this newly created role, Haaijman will be responsible for the development of Fidelity’s Private Assets Solutions capabilities globally. He will work closely with all of Fidelity’s Private Assets investment teams to develop and deliver best in class investment solutions that meet our clients’ ever evolving needs.

Haaijman joins from CVC Credit Partners where he held the position of Head of Client Servicing. In the role, he led the project management process for global fundraisings across credit funds, both illiquid and liquid. Prior to joining CVC Credit Partners, he held positions across the buy and sell side at various companies including Alcentra, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch. Nick will be based in Fidelity’s London office and will report to Fidelity’s Global Chief Investment Officer, Andrew McCaffery.

McCaffery, Global Chief Investment Officer, says: “We are committed to building a broad Private Assets business across a wide range of capability areas. Following the creation of our new Private Credit capability earlier this year, our immediate focus is on building out a series of Private Credit strategies as well as extending our existing Real Estate capability. We recently launched Fidelity’s first collateralised loan obligation (CLO), aligned to SFDR Article 8 requirements, which we believe is a first for the industry.

“To support our growth plans, it’s important we attract and invest in experienced talent, like Nick, to ensure we serve our clients effectively. Nick’s private market experience will be vital as we build a solutions capability and develop a broad product offering for clients globally.”
