Kieron Launder, former Chief Investment Officer at Schroders & Co, the private banking arm of the global investment manager, has joined private equity firm Growthdeck, taking up a position on its advisory board.
Launder brings with him 25 years of investment industry experience, having worked across a number of leading financial institutions, including Lazard and 15 years at Citibank. He later headed up the strategic investment advisory service at Rothschild private bank.
Launder will use his expertise and experience in wealth management to help Growthdeck continue the expansion of its high net worth investor client base.
Growthdeck is a pioneer of providing high net worth private investors access to private equity investments. Growthdeck gives investors the opportunity to buy stakes in individual private equity deals, allowing them to back specific businesses where they see high-growth potential rather than having to invest in a fund.
Ian Zant-Boer, CEO of Growthdeck, says: “Kieron’s extensive knowledge of the investment industry, especially in private banking, will be an enormous help in expanding our pool of investors even further.”
Launder comments: “I am thrilled to be joining the board of Growthdeck. The firm gives private investors access to direct access to private equity investments, something that is very difficult even for high net worth individuals to find.”
“HNWs often want to use their wealth to back innovative, fast-growing British businesses, especially in a tax-efficient manner. Growthdeck has built an excellent platform to do that and I look forward to helping it continue on its growth trajectory.”
