Former Dailymotion CEO Mark Zaleski joins pvXchange

PvXchange, a leading online business-to-business exchange for photovoltaic components, has announced that Mark Zaleski will begin chairing its advisory board with immediate effect.

Zaleski has a long track record of building value into multi-country online businesses including Dailymotion, Ricardo PLC, DVDPost and Webvan Inc. PvXchange itself has seen rapid growth with the expansion of the international solar-energy market in recent years, with 184MW of modules being traded on the platform last year.

“I’m pleased to be chairing the advisory board of such a well-placed and rapidly-growing online business as pvXchange at this time,” says Zaleski.

“It is great to have an internet entrepreneur with Mark’s experience and track record on board to help drive the continued growth of pvXchange in the coming period,” says Michael Maximillian Mueller, international CEO of pvXchange.

The appointment of both Mueller and Zaleski come in the wake of a funding round provided by cleantech private-equity fund WHEB Partners, which has also seen the opening of an international office in Zug, Switzerland. A US office in San Francisco will shortly follow, led by Elliott Gansner, formerly of Bain & Company. He will be joined in the US by one of the three original founders of the Berlin-based business, Florian Meyer-Delpho. The company is currently present at Intersolar North America, which is running on July 12 and 13 at the Moscone Centre, San Francisco, California, USA.
