Richards Kibbe & Orbe has appointed Vincent Basulto as a partner in the corporate department of the firm’s New York office.
Basulto was previously Managing Director of Macquarie Group’s credit markets division and General Counsel for one of the investment bank’s investment advisers. Prior to joining Macquarie, Basulto was a Senior Vice President in the Office of the General Counsel at Lehman Brothers, responsible for fixed income credit products.
“Vincent brings with him 15 years of in-house experience and we are very happy to welcome an attorney of his reputation and background to Richards Kibbe & Orbe,” says firm managing partner Jennifer Grady. “Macquarie is a longtime, valued client of the firm and many of us have had the pleasure of working alongside Vincent over the years. It is wonderful to have him as a colleague.”
Basulto’s practice will focus on structured finance, debt transactions, marketplace lending, derivatives, and other transactional work involving complex financial products. He will offer clients practical experience that extends beyond oversight of credit products to the representation of both dealer and proprietary trading desks.
“Having worked with Richards Kibbe & Orbe as a client for many years, I am pleased to join such a talented group of lawyers,” said Basulto. “I look forward to beginning this next phase of my legal career at a firm that is so highly regarded in the banking and investment services sector.”
Basulto holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA from Cornell University.
