Investor services firm SGG Group, which is backed by Astorg, has successfully completed its acquisition of Augentius having received teh relevant regulatory approvals.
This acquisition reinforces SGG Group’s position as the fourth largest independent investor services firm and one of the top three independent administrators to the alternative investment community in the world, with the deal growing its assets under administration to over USD400 billion, and further strengthens its reach and footprint.

Salveo Capital, an alternative investment firm specialising in the legalised cannabis space, has acquired a minority equity interest in Ascend Wellness (Ascend), a vertically integrated multi-state operator in the cannabis industry.
Ascend is a Massachusetts-based cannabis company with developing licenses in Illinois and Michigan. Together, the three markets are comparable in size to California, one of the most profitable cannabis regions in the US. As part of the transaction, Insight Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures are participating as investors. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Buchanan will be part of a growing distribution platform that includes Anderson Metals, LLC (Anderson) and Midland Metal Mfg (Midland).

An affiliate of private investment firm Sun Capital Partners (Sun Capital) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the drive technologies businesses of Regal Beloit Corporation.
The acquired businesses design, engineer and assemble technology-enabled, high performance motor control solutions for industrial applications.

Ironwood Capital’s portfolio company NSA Industries (NSA) has acquired Metal Tronics, located in Georgetown, Massachusetts. Metal Tronics is a provider of precision metal fabrication and CNC machining solutions.
“One year ago, when Ironwood Capital originally invested in NSA, the company’s plan was to continue expansion and diversification efforts through organic growth and strategic acquisitions,” says Alex Levental, Ironwood Capital managing director. “Since the market for fabrication and CNC machining is highly fragmented with numerous smaller players, the acquisition of Metal Tronics aligns well with NSA’s growth strategy.”

Private equity firm HIG Capital’s (HIG) portfolio company Groupe Ecore (Ecore) has successfully completed a high-yield bond placement. The Group issued EUR255 million in senior secured floating rate notes, with Barclays acting as sole bookrunner.

It employs over 1,400 people and recycles and sell 3.7 million tons of materials each year, including more than 3.0 million tons of ferrous metals.
