Livingstone has advised the management team of Feefo and London-based private equity house Vespa Capital on the management buy-out of the reviews and customer insights technology provider.
The transaction will see the acquisition of the shareholdings of the two co-founders CEO Andrew Mabbutt and CSO Matt Eames, along with that of Chairman Nicholas Wheeler.
The strengthened team now comprises Matt West as Chief Executive Officer, Richard Sawney, Chief Finance Officer and Paul Greatbatch, Technical Director.

Mayer Brown’s Private Equity team has advised The Halifax Group and Management on the sale of Pirtek Europe, an on-site provider of hydraulic hose replacement and associated services across Europe, to PNC Riverarch Capital, a US-based private equity firm.
Transaction terms have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1988, Pirtek Europe has 185 service centres and 750 mobile units across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden.

Carey Olsen has experienced the largest growth of any Jersey law firm in the number of investment funds it advises, according to Monterey Insight’s 2018 Jersey Fund Report.
The 24th edition of the annual report, which provides a comprehensive analysis of all funds domiciled, serviced or distributed in Jersey reported that Carey Olsen now provided legal advice to 670 such funds at the end of June 2018 – an increase of 162 (31.9 per cent) over the year. Significantly, no other Jersey law firm saw a bigger increase than 15 from the previous year.

Commercial Lending at Paragon has led profit growth for the banking group over the past year, according to the Groups latest annual results.
The Commercial Lending division, which includes asset finance, motor finance, structured lending and development finance, reported the largest increase in profits across the Group – a 41 per cent increase to GBP20 million compared to the same period last year.
Overall, underlying profits for Paragon Banking Group grew by 8 per cent to GBP157 million for the 12 months to 30 September 2018, up from GBP145 million the previous year.
Acquisitions of property development finance
The Romanian office of the regional law firm Wolf Theiss has assisted Search Corporation, a Romanian engineering company providing planning, design, consulting and management of road and air transport infrastructure services, in the sale of its part in Plaza Development SRL, the owner of Crystal Tower, the first Romanian office building equipped with a heliport, located in the heart of Bucharest.
The transaction was closed on 20 November 2018 in Bucharest and the buyer is the Czech investment company, PPF Real Estate. Wolf Theiss assisted Search Corporation and the other two minority shareholders of Plaza Development SRL in all stages
Monroe Capital (Monroe) has closed a USD455.75 million term debt securitisation known as Monroe Capital MML CLO VII, LTD. The term financing was Monroe’s third CLO completed in the last 13 months and is secured by a portfolio of middle market senior secured loans.
Monroe sold securities rated from AAA through BB. Monroe and its affiliates retained a majority of the Subordinated Notes in the transaction. BNP Paribas served as the Lead Manager, Structuring Agent and Bookrunner. This transaction was structured to meet and comply with both the European risk retention guidelines as well as US risk retention guidelines.
Altus Capital Partners (Altus), an investment firm focussed on the North American manufacturing sector, has acquired ChoiceSpine, a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of specialised spinal implants, instrumentation and biologics for the surgical treatment of complex spine disorders.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Knoxville, TN and founded in 2006, ChoiceSpine, LP and Knox Spine, LLC collaborate with physicians to develop new products which incorporate current medical technology with customised patient solutions. ChoiceSpine products include minimally invasive, cervical, thoracolumbar, interbody, lateral, and biologics kits and implants that increase procedural efficiency and efficacy.

The definitive agreement has been approved by Cowen’s board of directors and Quarton International’s shareholders and governing bodies. The transaction is expected to close by 2 January 2019.

Private investment firm Littlejohn & Co has held the final closing of Littlejohn Fund VI, with USD2.84 billion of committed capital, exceeding the fund’s target of USD2.5 billion. The firm’s previous fund, Littlejohn Fund V, with USD2.0 billion of committed capital, was raised in 2014.
