Grupa Netsprint, a portfolio company of Innova Capital, has acquired Way To Grow, a specialist in the optimisation of advertising space for publishers in the programmatic model. Way to Grow was founded in 2014 by Dominik Czarnota, Janusz Michalik and Łukasz Grodecki, who had worked together at sites such as nk.pl and Interia.pl.   Monika Bronowska, CEO of Grupa Netsprint, says: “Now we will be able to offer our partners even more comprehensive services and even more effectively support their business. Livspace has closed a USD70 million Series C funding round led by global investment funds TPG Growth and Goldman Sachs, with participation from existing investors Jungle Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners and Helion Ventures. Northleaf Capital Partners (Northleaf) has raised USD2.2 billion in new capital across its global private equity program. Northleaf now manages more than USD11 billion in private equity, private credit and infrastructure commitments on behalf of institutional investors in Canada, Europe and the United States. The new capital raised for Northleaf’s global private equity program includes commitments to Northleaf Private Equity Investors VII (NPE VII), the firm’s seventh global fund, Northleaf Secondary Partners II (NSP II), the firm’s second specialist secondaries fund that closed above target at USD800 million, and a number of discretionary separately managed accounts that invest alongside Northleaf’s pooled investment funds. Amazon Filters, a filtration equipment manufacturer, has secured a significant investment from BGF. The business will use BGF’s funding to continue its organic growth and further expand its distribution network. Founded in 1985 by Mike Pizzey, the family-owned business is an independent manufacturer of bespoke filter housings and cartridges. It provides a complete range of standard and customised filter housings and consumables for use in a wide range of industrial sectors. Lawyers from Carey Olsen’s corporate team in Jersey have advised the ad-hoc group of secured creditors of Concordia International Corp, a publicly listed international generics pharmaceuticals business with sales in more than 90 countries, on its USD3.7 billion recapitalisation. The recapitalisation, which was implemented by way of a court-approved plan of arrangement in Canada, reduces Concordia’s total debt from around USD3.7 billion to about USD1.4 billion and allows it to benefit from USD586.5 million of new money raised through a private placement share sale, which will also enable it to execute its future long-term value creation strategy.   Working alongside
Palatine Private Equity has made the third investment from its Impact Fund by acquiring a sizeable stake in Estio Training, a provider of IT, digital and technology apprenticeships. The Leeds-based business offers 10 different apprenticeship programmes, including Data Analyst, Infrastructure Technician and Software Developer roles. Across its Leeds, Manchester and London sites, it currently has over 750 apprentices on programme.   Estio has developed a strong client base consisting of some of the UK’s biggest companies, including the likes of Santander, Asda and The Cooperative Group. The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the sovereign wealth fund of Russia, and a consortium of sovereign wealth funds (among them the Russia-Japan Investment Fund, launched by RDIF and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)) lead by RDIF, have invested in WayRay, a specialist in holographic AR displays for cars. Hyundai Motor, Alibaba Group, China Merchants Capital and JVCKENWOOD have also invested in the project, with Porsche acting as the lead investor. The funds raised, which total USD80 million, will bolster the company’s focus on R&D, industrialisation and team expansion to become a supplier of holographic AR solutions for car manufacturers.    Since its
