Private equity firm Aretex Capital Partners (Aretex) has invested in Building Energy 1 Holdings (Building Energy) through its inaugural fund. Building Energy is a global independent power producer of renewable energy. Building Energy is the third investment for Aretex since its inception in 2018. Aretex has acquired the stake from ZZ Capital, whose investment in Building Energy was sourced and led by Sergio D’Angelo and Andrew Feller while they were partners at ZZ Capital International, leading the European and North American operations respectively.   Building Energy has enjoyed significant growth in the past year, having increased its power production capacity

Singapore-based SME financing platform Validus Capital (Validus) has surpassed over USD120 million in funding for local SMEs and businesses through its platform. The company has financed more than 1,600 loans to date, each of which was approved almost instantly (under 24 hours). The average amount funded per request is USD70,000, with a high degree of diversification across various industry classes.   Much of the company’s growth is in tandem with Singapore SMEs’ increased need for growth capital, with a financing gap of around USD20 billion. Pengana Capital Group Limited is working on plans for an ASX listed investment trust that will invest in global private equity next year. It is proposed that the Trust will provide investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of private equity investments, including funds, secondaries, directs, co-investments and other opportunistic strategies.
