NPIF – Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, has invested GBP250,000 in Lancashire-based eOrigen Learning and Communications Ltd (EO), a digital production company specialising in the creation of digital media and bespoke e-learning and training content.
The funding will help EO to execute its ambitious growth strategy to launch and scale its learning and development (L&D) IT platform, INPIN™, to become an accredited global training ecosystem and create 36 new jobs.

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus and Javier Marín Romano, a Spanish banking veteran with 25 years of experience in the sector, have partnered to acquire Self Trade Bank (Self Bank) from Société Générale’s Boursorama subsidiary.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Self Bank is a leading online wealth management provider with a broad suite of banking and wealth management products including savings accounts, payroll accounts, equity, CFD and over 2,000 investment funds.

BioMed Partners has invested in TRiCares’ EUR22 million Series B financing round.
TRiCares is developing a transcatheter-based tricuspid valve replacement system aimed at addressing the need for a better treatment for this frequent and severe disease that avoids open heart surgery. Flexioffices (Flexi), one of the UK’s leading serviced office brokers, has secured GBP8.2 million of investment from NVM Private Equity (NVM) as part of the funding package for a management buyout.
The investment from NVM will help to accelerate Flexi’s international growth and drive continued development of their technology. The deal is NVM’s second management buyout from NVM Private Equity Vintage III LP.

LDC, a UK-based mid-market private equity investor, has backed the management buyout of OCS Asset Solutions, a provider of specialist retail and financial support services, from international facilities management services company, OCS Group Ltd.
The deal, which includes a GBP13 million investment from LDC, will see the firm’s six-strong management team co-invest for a significant stake.

Global investment bank GCA Altium has completed six deals worth over GBP1 billion in the space of two weeks, marking a bumper fortnight for the global advisory firm.

Chainvine has secured GBP2.5 million (USD3.34 million USD) in a Series A funding round led by Deepbridge Capital.
Chainvine works closely with its clients’ management teams to integrate their existing ledger systems into a bespoke blockchain based platform, allowing them to better manage their supply chain and contract data. Chainvine’s platforms enable clients to evolve their existing ledger systems rather than completely overhauling them, by harnessing the potential of blockchain technology without prior technical experience.

Noerr has advised the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the EUR100 million financing of VIVAWEST, a housing association serving the North Rhine-Westphalia region.
The funds are secured via the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI).
VIVAWEST will use the credit line to build around 900 homes in various cities and municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia, constructing low-energy homes that meet the KfW 55 standard. The credit line can be drawn down in several tranches and has a maximum term of 13 years.
