Global investment bank GCA Altium has advised video games label Team17 on the completion of its initial public offering (IPO) on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, which included a GBP107.5 million fundraising.
On admission, Team17 had a market capitalisation of GBP217 million.
This is the second recent IPO led by GCA Altium following the GBP171 million flotation of lifestyle fashion retailer Footasylum, and further expands the investment bank’s record in the digital and gaming space having previously advised on transactions involving Zynga, boohoo and Tidal.

Private equity firm Aretex Capital Partners is to acquire Alerian, a provider of energy infrastructure indices and market intelligence based in Dallas, Texas. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Alerian develops and maintains a series of indices for the energy sector and equips investors to make informed decisions about investments in energy infrastructure. Alerian licenses its indices to third parties for the creation of investment vehicles, such as Exchange Traded Products (ETPs). A cross-jurisdictional Carey Olsen team has advised Strategic Value Partners (SVP) in its acquisition of Vita Group from TPG.
The UK-based Vita Group, which had been owned by TPG since 2005, develops, manufactures and markets flexible polyurethane, Talalay latex and flooring products to customers across Europe, the US and China. It operates 37 sites in 15 countries and employs around 2,700 people. Last year it recorded preliminary sales of EUR704 million and Ebitda of EUR40 million. Seedcamp has held the final close of its fourth fund at GBP60 million, in a heavily oversubscribed round that includes GBP2 million of investment from Seedcamp founders and mentors through a new partnership with equity crowdfunding platform, Seedrs.
The announcement comes six months after the first close of Fund IV at GBP41M in November 2017.

Carey Olsen has advised Techemy Capital Limited on the launch of HODL 1 – a closed-ended fund vehicle targeting investments into private-sale stage initial coin offerings (ICOs).
The fund, which has been authorised under the Jersey Private Fund regime, has appointed Techemy Capital Limited as investment adviser and will invest in cryptographic token deal flow.
The Techemy Group, based in New Zealand, owns and operates a range of businesses which assist in institutionalising this new asset class.

Facebook and Luxcara, an asset manager for renewable energy investments, have entered into long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 100 per cent of the output and environmental (green) attributes of three contiguous wind projects – Gravdal, Skinansfjellet and Eikeland-Steinsland – in southwest Norway.
The projects, known collectively as the Bjerkreim cluster, will consist of seventy wind turbines of 4.2 MW each and should reach commercial operation in Q4 2019.
Facebook’s PPAs will provide the long- term financial certainty needed for the projects, which comprise an aggregate investment exceeding EUR400 million, to be financed, constructed, and operated by Luxcara. The
