The Blackstone Private Credit fund (BCRED) has reported a net return of 12.4 per cent since launch and an 8.5 per cent distribution yield for 2021, according to a report by Barron’s Online.
While the S&P 500 was down more than 5 per cent during the first month of 2022, and the Bloomberg US Aggregate Bond Index, was down more than 2 per cent, BCRED chalked up a return of almost 1 per cent.
Abrdn’s latest venture capital fund of funds has attracted USD90.7 million to date in capital commitments according to a report by CityWire.
A regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission reveals that the fund is targeting USD250 million in total, while a Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) board meeting document from 17 February details a USD15 million commitment. The fund has previously committed USD25 million to AVP XI in 2019 and 2021, plus an additional USD25 million to AVP XII.

Northlight Capital Partners, a leading middle-market real estate credit fund manager, has announced the second closing of its third institutional fund, Northlight Real Estate Opportunity Fund III (NREOFIII).
Together with Northlight’s co-investment separately managed accounts, total capital commitments now exceed USD125 million.
NREOFIII has already closed on 14 transactions, totalling USD109 million of fund and co-investment equity capital. These investments range from acquiring sub- and non-performing loans secured by real estate to originating new loans secured by residential land development projects.
Northlight expects to have the NREOFIII final closing at the beginning of the second quarter of 2022.
Principal Real Estate, the real estate investment team for Principal Global Investors, has completed the first close of its closed-end fund dedicated to acquiring data centre assets in Europe.
The initial capital raise for the Principal European Data Centre Fund (the Fund) beat its target, reaching EUR155 million. Subscriptions were received from seven investors, including asset managers, pension funds, and insurance companies located in France, Germany, Spain, and Malaysia. The amount is one-third of the total equity hard cap of EUR450 million set by Principal for the Fund.

Pioneer Point Partners (Pioneer), a specialist sustainable infrastructure investment firm, has reached a Final Close of EUR575 million on its maiden institutional fund, Pioneer Infrastructure Partners SCSp.
The Final Close exceeded the EUR500 million target that Pioneer initially set.
The Fund generated significant interest, with commitments from 15 highly reputable and long-established European and North American institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, financial institutions and family offices.
The Fund is targeting a 15 per cent-plus IRR over a ten-year term, including an annual cash yield of 4-6 per cent, through a diversified portfolio of eight to 10 investments.
Fiera Real Estate UK (FRE UK) has held the final close of Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund V (FREOF V) at GBP180 million.
FREOF V is the fifth and largest Fund in the Firm’s value add series which has raised over GBP780 million to date.

Amati’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) VCT has sold out within five days of launching its offer, raising GBP25 million from private investors, GBP13 million of which was in the first 90 minutes and GBP21 million was raised on the first day.
